New businesses open at Bridge Farm Barns

In April 2010, The Wild Garden Nursery opened its doors to the public at Bridge Farm Barns.  Located in the greenhouse behind The SummerHouse., the Wild Garden Nursery is a family run business committed to nature conservation.

The Nursery specialises in providing everything you need to create a naturally beautiful garden which will provide a refuge for wildlife, attract birds, bees, butterflies and other wildlife to your garden.

The Wild Garden Nursery grows and supplies a range of cottage garden plants, culinary & medicinal herbs, wild flowers, pond & bog plants – many of which are grown here on Bridge Farm Barns.  A range of eco-friendly garden products are also available to encourage wildlife to your garden.

The Wild Garden Nursery is an extension of the internet based Wild Flower Shop, which has been growing & supplying native British plants, bulbs, seeds and meadow mixes for many years.

In June 2010, Marlborough Tiles opens a new showroom of their unique hand painted floor and wall tiles.

Located in the brick barn with The SummerHouse, the showroom will offer a full display of the collections of tiles made by Marlborough themselves as well as other exclusive glass, stone and porcelain tiles sourced from around the globe.

Marlborough Tiles is a family owned business that has been making tiles in England since the beginning of the last century.  They are the only English company who still hand paint using a centuries old technique known as “majolica”, which is a highly skilled process requiring months of training, but worth it for the superior finish it gives.

“We are delighted to welcome The Wild Garden Nursery and Marlborough Tiles to Bridge Farm Barns,” says Caroline Gage.  “These businesses add a new dimension to our site which we hope that our visitors will enjoy.”
